She doesn't use the weapons except the shield so I can't speak for if they are useful. She love the sounds and the fact that Captain America is the same size as her Barbies, no Ken in our house. While they have recreated the movie's costume fairly well, the head sculpt looks like any generic masked figure painted (poorly) to look somewhat like Captain America. I'm not sure that the grappler gun plays into the movie at all. But I'm pretty sure that Cap's shield doesn't light up when he talks. Sure, they've made a concession for the toys. But it's not one that I, as a collector, am particularly fond of.
