He was using his own money to buy this car. Since it was not avaiable in the Disney store we had t order it online, We received the Car and hewas super excited to get it becuase it would go up the wall. We opened the box and you could tell that it had been used and returned to Amazon this is one of many things that was wrong with this toy.This car is poorly made. It is plastic and has no weight to it help it climb up the wall over the trim on the floor. It does drive on the wall but only for a short period. The "fabric skirt" which is really plastic does nothing to help the car on the wall. THis car does NOT keep it's charge. You charge it by using the remote, we charged it one time with the remote and it worked for about 6 mins. We charged it again and it would not work after that. We used brand new batteries and it still would not work. This is a dissapointment all the... Found it on Amazon and so far we haven't been disappointed. I'm thinking that the first reviewer got a lemon because our works great. It has been able to keep a charge since day 1 and it does climb the wall. There is a button on the remote that says wall that you do need to push to enable it to climb up walls. It states that it needs a ramp at a 90 degree angle to make it work and we have done that on a few occasions but on others my son has been able to just drive it straight up without having the ramp. It does need 6AA batteries that are not included and I went ahead and got us some Duracell batteries since I know that they work great and we've been able to charge and play for hours without any incident. Only the remote uses batteries and the car is plugged directly into the remote to charge the car. So far everything has worked so I have no complaints. |
