| 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful  ravage 24/7, By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Transformers: Dark of the Moon - MechTech Deluxe - Starscream (Toy) Starscream is back!Just as sweet in a deluxe class version for the first time for his movie version figure.Starscream has all the outstanding detail in vehicle and robot modes as he does in the voyager class size.The bonus though with the deluxe version is the Mech Tech weapons.Starscream has 2 null ray cannons which convert to swords,or you can combine the two to make one giant staff with a sword on each end.This gives Starscream an added dimension weapon wise that makes this figure even more unique.The durability is very solid overall in vehicle&robot modes for an A++.The transformation level is intermediate meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is minor difficulty.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you might have to help some in the process.In the first part of the process where Starscream's arms swing out you might want to be careful.You might have to apply a little pressure to get them loose the first time as they are in place very... There is vitually no "kibble" to be found in jet mode. The undercarriage has even less bulk than the leader class. They did a GREAT job in hiding most traces on the robot mode, unlike the other versions, where hands, at the least, are usually showing.His mechtech weapon does not seem to fit the character, though. (I gave them over to the deluxe movie Optimus Prime, as they greatly resemble his energon blades.) I highly recommend this for all fans of Starscream, and does seem to be one of the best deluxe series to come out for the new movie. The transformation is a bit challenging, but can be figured out even without the instructions. I think the toys not only can give him lot of funs, but also will let him learn the basic knowledge about aerodynamics and constructure of airplanes. |
